Week 1- Foundations of Christian Leadership

Focus: Biblical Foundations of Christian Leadership

Week 1 introduces students to Christian leadership as a biblical calling, rooted in stewardship, service, and obedience to God rather than position or authority. Students explore how Scripture defines leadership, contrasting biblical models with secular leadership concepts.

Through Old and New Testament examples—such as Moses, Joshua, Nehemiah, Jesus Christ, and the Apostle Paul—students examine how God forms leaders through calling, character development, and faithful dependence on Him. Emphasis is placed on servant leadership, shepherding, and spiritual formation as the foundation of effective leadership.

By the end of the week, students will understand leadership as identity before function, recognize the importance of character and obedience, and begin discerning how God develops leaders for His purposes.
